New Beijing Daxing (PKX) route begins 3rd of November and cargo bookings are open

Oct 26, 2019

The first flight will be operated from Helsinki on Sunday 3rd November and from Daxing on 4th November, both with Airbus A330 aircraft.

The new airport has only just begun operations and therefore it is currently possible to send shipments only on master air waybill (MAWB) level. House air waybills (HAWB) are not accepted at the current time. As a result, consolidated shipments should be booked on PEK flights.

According to the instructions received from PKX airport, no special cargo is allowed during the first period of operation. Therefore, only general cargo on MAWB level can be booked for now.

To ensure the smooth flow of the shipments, it is essential to follow the instructions given by the terminal operator at PKX.

If we receive consolidated shipments booked onto HEL-PKX flights, we need to either return the shipment to its origin or change the destination to be PEK. The change of destination can only be done based on a written request from the shipper.

The additional work costs for returning a shipment or making the destination change (PKX to PEK) will be charged according to our Terminal Charge Table as follows.

1) Shipment return to origin (with a new AWB number):
- Re-labelling: 1 euro/label + work 62.80 euros/h + taxes
- Returned shipment: freight charge + terminal charge (CH) 0.09 euros/kg
- AWB issuing: 30 euros

2) Change of destination from PKX to PEK (with freight charge adjusted to PEK route):
- Re-labelling: 1 euro/label + work 62.80 euros/h + taxes
- Shipment handling costs in the office: 62.80 euros/h + taxes
- Destination change is possible only according to space availability
