From 1st April 2019 e-AWB Single Process available on Finnair's Seoul route
From the 1st of April 2019 Finnair is adopting IATA's e-AWB Single Process procedure at Seoul (Incheon, ICN) airport.
This means that the electronic air waybill (e-AWB) will be the preferred means for shipping cargo to all destinations.
The e-AWB Single Process is only available for general cargo. Paper AWBs are still needed for special cargo, with special handling codes such as DG, PER, AVI, DIP, and VAL.
What are the benefits of electronic air waybills (e-AWBs)?

How to start using electronic air waybills (e-AWB):
1. Join the IATA Multilateral e-AWB Agreement. This agreement covers the terms and conditions found on the reverse side of traditional paper AWBs. Visit the IATA website for more details.
2. Transmit air waybill data before cargo acceptance at the terminal. Data can be delivered using IATA's EDI Cargo IMP (FWB) messages or via the SkyChain portal. This covers the front side of a traditional paper AWB.
3. Tender your shipments without paper AWB. For destinations where a paper AWB might be required due to regulatory, operational, or other reasons, we will print the paper AWB for you based on the air waybill data provided.
