According to Wildtgrube, the appointment is part of a bigger move to better support customers by strengthening the global sales team and he thinks Mika is the right person for the job:

"Finnair Cargo is on a transformation journey with ongoing business process development, new cargo terminal, and enhanced tools and systems – all founded on a clear strategy of digitalisation. We need to define innovative ways to create customer value and implement new digital sales channels and support mechanisms."

"Mika has extensive experience of customer collaboration in cargo digitalisation initiatives like cargo.one, IATA ONE Record and lately leading a new online booking platform project. He has also been active in several important air cargo projects with partners and customers."

"During the past years Mika has developed significant understanding of air cargo digitalisation from inside Finnair's digital team."

In addition to his experience at Finnair, Mika also has vast supply-chain development experience from companies such as Nokia and Microsoft.
