Finnair Cargo is operating flights to Pittsburgh for the first time

Apr 27, 2021

Exceptional cargo demand has opened new opportunities for Finnair Cargo. This afternoon, Finnair Cargo is operating its first flight ever to Pittsburgh. Finnair has not flown any passenger or cargo flight to Pittsburgh before, hence this is the first inaugural cargo only flight to a new destination.

Pittsburgh will operate as a charter destination for one of Finnair Cargo’s Asian customer delivering automotive parts to Northern America. First flight to Pittsburgh has just departed from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport on 27th April and is the first of series of booked charters for the route. Finnair Cargo advantage is simply same day schedule operation, leaving Asia in the morning, swift crew change and re-fueling in Helsinki in the afternoon and arriving to Pittsburgh the early evening the same day.

We are excited to be able to provide this routing to Pittsburgh during these logistically challenging times.
